Just had to share with you a new restaurant we learned about in North Myrtle Beach, the Tidewater Grill and Bistro. Our friend, Margaret, told us about it and we just had to give it a try.
Let me start by saying that Tidewater is one of those places you’re just not sure about when you pull up, tucked away in a tiny strip mall, and located in a place off the beaten path. You don’t just go past it, you have to purposely find it, and you should. We were doubtful when we pulled in as it didn’t look like a whole lot, quite frankly, but we knew Margaret would not steer us wrong so in we went.
When you open the doors, it is such a pleasant surprise! The interior is decorated beautifully, very classy, almost fine-dining like. It has a beautiful bar, just a few booths and tables in the main section, and an outdoor enclosed patio area as well. There were several people in the restaurant and the flow continued as we were there so obviously it’s well-known by the locals and visitors who have been there before.
They have daily specials of all kinds of good things but B and I ordered off the menu and split the Wild Turkey sandwich which had a cranberry aioli dressing on it that was delicious. It was served on wonderful walnut raisin bread and came with their homemade chips and ranch. The entire meal was wonderful including the sweet tea, always a plus!
Because we had split a sandwich, we decided to treat ourself to dessert, which we very rarely do. We ordered the ice cream sandwich that came with Brown Sugar Molasses Cookies on the outside, ice cream centers, and it had a topping of roasted pecans, whipped cream and caramel drizzle. Our mouths watered and we devoured it!
This is a place you definitely need to try if you’re in the North Myrtle, Cherry Grove, area! We are so excited to have a new place to visit again and again as we return!
