For those who don’t know, I’m a movie addict.  I especially love finding movies I’ve never heard of and discovering how wonderful they are.  This was one of those movies.  Australia was made in 2008 and stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman and a young man, Brandon Walters, who is magical in the movie.  His eyes, his spirit, everything about him fit the part, and you could not help but fall in love with him.  It is set in Australia in the 1930s during WWII and what happened to the Australians during that war was something I knew very little about.  I had also never heard of the Stolen Generation, the children affected by the war, and it’s an incredible story.  This movie has humor, a love story, love for a child you cannot imagine, and is just an all around great movie find!
