Her heart broke as the tears flowed,
her coat had been heavy to wear.
She’d carried it long but was giving up,
not sure how much more she could bear.
At last she cried out, “I just can’t go on,
it is all too heavy for me!”
and that’s when she felt a warm embrace
and heard the words that would set her free.
She threw off her coat of tears and woe
and to the fields she flew,
God had whispered sweetly in her ear,
“I’m here to rescue you.”
She cried as they talked and the layers she shed,
and as she looked, the fields glowed with the Son,
the wildflowers danced, and so did she,
she’d been saved by the one true One.
At last she fell down on her knees
and cried out differently this time,
“Lord, thank you for not leaving me,”
to which He replied,
“I never will, Child, you are mine.”

Thanks for that today. I’m waiting on a new expensive heating system. A little anxious about the price but just thankful to our Lord that He is here with me and knowing He will provide. He hasn’t failed me yet. Have a great 😊 day.
