Well, one of my all-time favorite authors did it again. Eternal is a great read, full of history, and rich in the characters and their story line. It is bittersweet, and yes, difficult to read at times because it is based during the horrific period of WWII, but you will fall in love with the characters as is always the case when Lisa Scottoline puts her words out there.

An added bonus is always reading her notes in the back of the book about why she wrote the book, her research, and in this case, she shares the characters and locations that were real in the book and those she created in her imagination as she went along. The story of three incredibly close friends and their families and the heartache and bittersweet love during war. I will give one little warning and it’s not a negative, just an observation – it is a long book BUT the story of the main characters is so incredible and moving, it will carry you to the very end, and I am so glad I read it!
