If grace had a face, we would see it every day.
It shows itself in moments and in the simplest ways.
A baby’s smile, a cashier who’s so sweet,
a Pastor who preaches, and teachers who teach.
A Mama who hugs on her babies so much,
the lady at church with the gentlest touch.
Or how about the downtrodden who still put on a smile
no matter if goodness hasn’t come in a while.
A teen who offers help, that neighbor who calls,
the janitor who whistles as they clean after us all.
A nurse who comforts, a doctor who cares,
that receptionist you see, whose heart fills the air.
The girl in the mirror, the man looking back,
His grace is abundant, even we do not lack.
You see, it exists, in the faces we see,
including when others see you and me.
We are all filled with His grace, does it show?
