I was thinking about friendship when I went to bed last night and about my friends who made me laugh yesterday. Lord knows, how I love them.

Those people who make you smile just by thinking about them.

I really hope you have friends in your life who are honest with you even when it stings
but still make you feel you are the most special person in the world.
Friends who love you so much without stipulations and conditions.
Who don’t judge you, or try to compete with you, but cheer you on!
Friends who encourage you, and lift you up,
even when you just don’t feel like being lifted.

I hope you have friends who talk about you to others
only in a positive way even on the days they may want to wring your neck…
because they love you.

Friends who make you feel safe with them.
This is huge.

If your friends don’t make you feel these things, well…
you may need to rethink the situation.

Seek these true people out,
pray for them,
be open to them coming into your life,
I believe they will come.
I believe friendship is a God thing
in the midst of the insanity of this world.

If you have these people, love them.
Fiercely.
And know that you deserve them
just like they deserve you.

Period.
