Someone is praying right now.  Praying for hope, for someone to reach out, for someone just once to encourage them, to hear them.  Maybe they’re praying for understanding, an end to feeling so lonely.  They could be praying to feel loved.

So many people praying, so many who feel unseen, unheard, unloved, unworthy. Maybe that someone is you. I know there have been days that someone is me.

Have you ever thought God may use you and me as an answer to someone else’s prayer in times like this?  They don’t know we’re the answer they’re praying for and certainly nor do we.  But God…..oh, God does.

I believe through His mighty yet gentle hand, the intricacies and perfection of His divine intervention and timing, that He sends us little nudges, whispers, and so often, because of the noise of this life, we ignore them, brush them off, don’t hear them at all.  Just think, maybe if we feel them, hear them, heed them, we will be used to answer someone’s simple prayer. What a gift to be given, not only to the recipient, but to us…. for Him to want to use us in that way.

If God can use us to make a call, send a message, drop by and visit, drop a card in the mail, give a hug, sit and listen or just sit in silence and be present, drop $20 in someone’s pocket without them knowing, anything to make someone feel more seen, heard, loved, worthy…. if we allow ourselves to be used, what a powerful thing it will be for His glory, not ours. These little things may be not be shouted from the rooftops or put on a billboard or written down in history, but I feel sure that doesn’t make it any less powerful and meaningful in someone’s life. We can be the one answer another human needs today if only we allow ourselves to be.

Today my prayer is that we be the kind of people ready, willing, open, waiting to be used by Him. I pray so hard you’re the answer to someone’s prayer today, that we see clearly who they are, feel clearly what He needs us to do, and I pray the same for me.
