I read this book a couple of years ago and am rereading it now. I just had to share it with all of you again because it’s A-MA-ZING and so worth the read! And it’s wild how reading it now, in this different mindset I’m in, changes what I take from it.
When I first saw the title of this book, I thought it had to be for new Moms or Moms with little ones coming along, and it is, but it’s so much more! It’s for any one of us who wants to learn to be present, who wants to stop trying to make life look like a Normal Rockwell print, and just be in the moment. Who doesn’t want that, right?! How many times have you left a conversation with someone realizing you don’t remember everything they said because your mind was racing about the laundry, the bank deposit, the lack of a bank deposit, what in the world to cook for supper. We all do it.
This book is about changing that. The author, in the craziness of life, finally realized how quickly life was passing her by – what an understatement, right?! She also realized SHE had the choice to do something about it. She started to learn the absolute power in saying NO, learning about the intentional process of being present over being perfect, and in essence, slowing down the moments to savor each and every last one.
Just wanted to share this with you because it meant so much to me. And by the way, she offers a bible study on this. If anyone is interested in doing one, let me know! I’m considering teaching it via Youtube or video here, let me know your thoughts!
